WOYWW 215

It seems ages since I joined in a Workdesk Wednesday but actually I have only missed three while I’ve been gallivanting to Cornwall and then Manchester. So, here is my work desk in all it’s glory …

17.07.13

As you can see I am still busy with my newfound hobby of quilting. I am attempting a king size one for our bed and I have a feeling this might be the one and only time I make one this big! I am using Moda Candy Squares which are quite small from the lovely and bright Simple Marks range.

 17.07.13 4 17.07.13 3

17.07.13 2 The other thing I wanted to show you on my desk today is this kit sitting waiting for the winner of my 100-followers giveaway … and the winner is … ta  da … number 5, Suzy!

Suzy, please drop me a PM on UKS with your address and I’ll get your kit in the post.

Ok I’m off to do some workdesk snooping at Julia’s. Come on over. :o)

Good for you giving a large quilt a go, sometimes we just have to give it a go and see where it takes us.

I <3 Moda! I finished a Jelly Roll quilt a couple of weeks ago. I think I'll be starting a new quilting project soon with my grandfather's shirts. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome back to WOYWW, your quilt looks wonderful. We dream of one day making a bear quilt for the bed. Thanks for your earlier visit, we're melting in our fur coats right now but shaved bear is such an odd look!

Hi Sue, thanks for swinging by my blog. Love the quilt, I love sewing, but I am without a sewing machine since the NYC move..sob sob. If you were using IE to view my blog, I am afraid you will get spots over the text, the latest version of IE doesn't support my changes...Happy WOYWW Cx #36

Where in Manchester were you - I live in Bolton, you could have called for a cuppa!

Lovely patchwork, am afraid mine just gets put back and put back - somehow paper gets in the way - and this sun isn't helping.

I love the colours in your quilt and being the person that cowarded out of making her last quilt queen size and just doing a strip for along the bottom of the bed instead, I have complete admiration for your king size one!! Annette #8

Oh wow Sue, that really is a big project but it’s going to look fabulous when it’s finished. I love the bright colours that you’ve chosen. I’ve never attempted quilting myself as I find it impossible to sew a straight line, let along matching up all those little squares……….you’re so brave!
Happy Crafting!
