Christmas tally – 35 cards done and dusted!cards2

So … I bet you wished you'd joined me in January and had 35 cards under your belt! Smug? Me? Well, even if you haven’t started, no matter, please do join us now. We are aiming to make up to 5 cards each month so we are ahead of the rush come December. Here are my cards for this month – I made some of these last year and liked them a lot, so I dug out the pegs and did some more I hope I don’t send them to the same people! The little clothes are cut on my Cricut and the posts are coffee stirrers sorry Marilyn I know I am embarrassing when I pinch them in coffee shops LOL.

toniThank you to everyone who left a link last month – my favourite was this fun card by Toni … isn’t that a cute image?

I’m looking forward to seeing your cards. :o)

The small print : please link back to my blog in your post, mentioning Beat the Christmas Rush. You can make up to 5 separate links each month :o)

Rocking Your World Friday July 19

I saw a post on Suzy’s blog about reflecting positively on your week and I thought what a lovely idea – it is so easy to fall into moaning and groaning and missing the good things that happen. So … i am joining in with Virginia’s Rocking Your World Friday. I will try to find at least 5 things each week that have made me happy, lifted my spirits or simply given me a smile …

number-1 the week began on Sunday with a lovely family get together for Leo’s first birthday

number 2 Marilyn found out her injured knee is just badly bruised and not broken

number 3

Mum bought the bargain of the year – a nearly new mobility scooter for a fraction of its value

number 4 the sun has shone brightly all week and I have done very little other than laze in the garden with Michael

I drew the winner for my 100 followers prize … and out came Suzy’s name! Don’t forget to let me have your address, Suzy.

number 6

The Apprentice finished and my favourite was in the final I don’t want to put in any spoilers in case you haven’t watched it yet

number 7 the forms came through for my old aged pension so I am now officially an old biddy LOL or will be from September 6th :o)

number 8 I have managed to finish a bit of scrapping – the first is a page I did at a Scrap Angels class which was waiting for photographs, the centre one is for the UK Scrappers We Challenge You contest and the last a ‘just because’ page.

Thank you for visiting. :o)

WOYWW 215

It seems ages since I joined in a Workdesk Wednesday but actually I have only missed three while I’ve been gallivanting to Cornwall and then Manchester. So, here is my work desk in all it’s glory …

17.07.13

As you can see I am still busy with my newfound hobby of quilting. I am attempting a king size one for our bed and I have a feeling this might be the one and only time I make one this big! I am using Moda Candy Squares which are quite small from the lovely and bright Simple Marks range.

17.07.13 2 The other thing I wanted to show you on my desk today is this kit sitting waiting for the winner of my 100-followers giveaway … and the winner is … ta  da … number 5, Suzy!

Suzy, please drop me a PM on UKS with your address and I’ll get your kit in the post.

Ok I’m off to do some workdesk snooping at Julia’s. Come on over. :o)
