CCW Minikit August Challenge

The new minikit is launched today at Creative Craft World. Enter our challenge with a project that measures less than 12”x12” and be in with a chance if winning a minikit for free.

I made the mini book for my sister so she has photos of her new grandson to show off!

Scrapping with Friends

I spent a lovely day scrapping at The Eternal Maker yesterday with Jan and Jackie and, for once, not an ounce of chocolate passed our lips! We did the usual amount of gossiping and a little scrapping, too. I completed a page for the UK Scrappers monthly challenge.

We were challenged to use this colour pallette. The grey, pink and white were easily included but I did struggle with the green element. Luckily we were only asked to ‘sneak’ them all in so I definitely snuck in the green with the writing on the journalling card. :o)

hello baby

My page is a scraplift of the lovely layout done by Chris which you can see by clicking the BBs’ Scraplifts tab at the top of the blog.

How gorgeous are these photos of Sophia and Leo taken by their dad? I couldn’t wait to scrap them!

London 2012

I can’t believe how hooked I have been by the Olympics. I have no interest whatsoever in sport but it has been a fantastic fortnight for our country and I have loved every minute of it.  I shouted and shouted when Mo Farah ran that amazing 5000 metres. His face was a picture on the winning line. And who wasn’t in tears at the dressage or Tom Daley’s final dive? How exciting was the rowing? Yes, rowing!mum and marilyn

We gave up on trying to get tickets and took our chance on Tuesday for a good view of the triathlon. We weren’t disappointed. Mum, Marilyn and I had a perfect spot in front of Buckingham Palace and cheered the Brownlee brothers to gold and bronze medals. The atmosphere was brilliant.

I have a mountain of photos to scrap and here’s the first of them for the weekly challenge at UK Scrappers.

New home card

My nephew James, who recently graduated as a teacher, has moved into his first home with his lovely girlfriend, Lizzie. I went to their house warming party yesterday. Here’s the card I made for them.

The buttons, twine and flowers are from Purple Pumpkin.
