WOYWW? 185

Good morning! This time next week it’ll all be over bar the shouting, as my dad would have said. :o) He was a great one for sayings which have become part of our linga familia (I thought I made that up but it’s listed by Google). I keep thinking I’ll write them all down but it’s not really necessary as we use them all the time – he called snails odnidods and frogs wooingoes just as my sister, brother and I all do. When we were tiny and running around naked after a bath he called us Tinribs (which I only learned last week was a robot in Viz magazine).

How did I get onto that? You’re here to see my desk…19.12.12So what’s to see? A pile of cards on the right – the last to be written and posted, a beautiful card sent to me by a dear and clever friend, an almost completed layout with a gorgeous photo of Leo, using the next CCW scrap map and just at the top are my newly organised Stickles nesting nicely upside down in my shopping trolley. That’s it!

Happy Christmas WOYWWers. Do hop over to Julia’s blog for a snoop round some more workdesks – it’s fun and addictive. :o)

But it's those daft things from childhood that stick with us, isn't it? I remember 'dancing' with my dad by me just standing on his feet (I was 6 at the time!) and him waltzing around the room. Happy days :)

Thanks for all the support and great comments this year - it means a lot!
Sending hugs and love for a Happy Christmas!

Ah, my Dad used to say little things that I still remember so many years later. Love your layout and the card is gorgeous, as are the little Christmas tree ones too. Thank you for your visit earlier. Hugs, Anne x #20

You're not on your own, we have ways of saying things in our family too. I absolutely love your mini shopping trolley and it's perfect for storing stickles too. And your layout is looking good too - the photo is lovely. Thanks for popping over and leaving a comment. Your neighbour owes her holly berries to your bush - it's the male and hers is the female! That's the way it is with hollies ... doesn't seem fair somehow. You could plant a female one for yourself :) Wishing you and yours much happiness throughout the festive period, happy holidays. Well done with the cards and layout - and I love your little shopping trolley! It looks really cute. Thanks for your visit and comment - yes, I have been busy with my downsizing - I tend to do it in fits and starts and then nothing for weeks or months! I shall probably be unable to do anything at all for the next few days but I don't care because I've got a great sense of achievement from finally reducing those shelves down to one section.

Hope you have a great Christmas too.

Happy WOYWW,

Oh the mini shopping trolley is great wherever did you find that?
And had to chuckle about the sayings, but here's one for you, do you know what 'barker's eggs' are? That was one from my dear Dad.
Thanks for your visit too.
Cheers and happy christmas Sue

By the way I fed Hamish...he's a greedy little critter isn't he?
I had him doing tricks in the end for a treat!

Have a wonderful Christmas and every best wish for you and your family for 2013. Have fun :D

great looking desk and layout today! I think every family has a linga familia and I have tried to pass it down to my children and have used it in journaling in scrapbooks to preserve it! Hope you have a Merry Christmas with your friends and family. Thanks for stopping by my desk and leaving such a nice comment! Vickie #100
