I can’t believe how hooked I have been by the Olympics. I have no interest whatsoever in sport but it has been a fantastic fortnight for our country and I have loved every minute of it. I shouted and shouted when Mo Farah ran that amazing 5000 metres. His face was a picture on the winning line. And who wasn’t in tears at the dressage or Tom Daley’s final dive? How exciting was the rowing? Yes, rowing!
We gave up on trying to get tickets and took our chance on Tuesday for a good view of the triathlon. We weren’t disappointed. Mum, Marilyn and I had a perfect spot in front of Buckingham Palace and cheered the Brownlee brothers to gold and bronze medals. The atmosphere was brilliant.
I have a mountain of photos to scrap and here’s the first of them for the weekly challenge at UK Scrappers.
