Sketch Challenge April 1st-30th

april sketch    eat drink and be scary
Yay! We have spring at last – and ironically I’ve scrapped a Hallowe’en page! Ah well it nicely illustrates that the world is your oyster as far as a theme for your challenge entry goes – all you need to do is start with the sketch, after that it’s up to you. Change things whichever way you like. To enter my challenge, link up here and mention my blog that bit’s important on your blog, gallery or FB page … and I’ll choose my favourite and send one of my page kits.

imageI really liked last month’s sketch is it all right for me to be saying that? and it seems you did too as there were 14 linkies a record I think and the standard was phenomenal! I really was stretched to pick a favourite so I chose two!

I couldn’t resist this page by Christine. I bet you went ‘aww’ when you saw it, too? I love Christine’s use of white space; it’s so effective and not something I find easy to do.

And the other, by Karen, features some fab layering and colour matching.

Christine and Karen, please send me your address and a prize kit will be on its way.

Sketch Challenge March 3rd-31st

March sketch  gertie

Humble apologies for the lateness of this post – I made a mistake on the scheduling and just haven’t got around to fixing it until now. Thank you for checking back if you came looking before.

So, on to the challenge. As always, all you need to do is use the sketch as your starting point; you can turn it, leave bits out, add bits to it … how you change things is entirely up to you. To enter link up here and mention my blog that bit’s important on your blog, gallery or FB page … and I’ll choose my favourite and send one of my page kits.

chrisI thought last month’s sketch was a bit tricky so I was very pleased to have 12 super linkies. I chose this page by Chris because I love the boldness of it, perfect for showcasing her lovely photos.

Chris, please send me an address and your prize kit will be on its way.

Sketch Challenge February 1st-29th

kit LO  image
Hello and welcome to my second sketch challenge of 2016. First of all I need to ask a question, do you find that settling down to a nice bit of scrapping goes hand-in-hand with a nice bit of chocolate to munch on? image_thumb[21]If you agree,   spare a thought for me as I try to craft through Choc-free February and it’s a bloomin’ leap year. Still, by the end of the month I will be feeling very virtuous as I donate my saved pennies to Dementia UK.

Anyway, I digress, you are here for the sketch challenge – all you need to do is use the sketch as your starting point; you can turn it, leave bits out, add bits to it … how you change things is entirely up to you. To enter link up here and mention my blog that bit’s important on your blog, gallery or FB page … and I’ll choose my favourite and send one of my page kits.

Lindsay

Fourteen fab pages linked up last month, thank you; I think that is a record. Onto my January winner; white space and simple elegance I cannot do and envy any scrapper who can carry it off – this page by Lindsay does it with knobs on!

Lindsay please send me your address and your prize kit will be on its way. :)

Only three links last month – maybe everyone is busy card making or it was a crummy sketch? Thanks so much to my three loyal followers Janet, Patty and Sarah; they don’t miss a month! I’ll be sending all three a little something for Christmas and Janet wins the kit with this super black and white page – I love the splash of red.

Stuck?! Sketches

Here’s my page using the Stuck?! sketch for November. I haven’t scrapped in my trademark primary colours in ages – now I remember why I love these colours so much! The photo is of my beautiful great-niece, Sophia, on her eighth birthday earlier this year. How can she be 8 already?!
