Today is my lovely mum’s 82nd birthday. Here is the card I made for her.

I used to spend hours playing with mum’s button jar when I was a little girl; I guess that’s why they are my favourite embellishment.

Beat the Christmas Rush

Hello and welcome to my last BtCR for 2013. First of all a big thank you to everyone who joined my monthly challenge – bet you are thrilled to bits not to be having the usual rush to get your cards done. Well done!

One lady who has been a regular linkie is ionabunny so it’s great that one of her cards was my favourite for November. I love the gorgeous colours.

Holidays are coming …

We spent a lovely day crafting on Tuesday. While Marilyn and I cut squares for some last minute Christmas quilting, mum made this lovely rag wreath for her door. So effective and a great way to use up fabric scraps.

A couple of layouts

Today I’m sharing two pages I did for UKS challenges. The first is this month’s house challenge set by the Red Ribbons. They asked us to use this photo as colour inspiration.

 

 

The second page is one I did a couple of weeks ago for Heather’s weekly challenge which was to use the sketch and to include some stitching and fussy cutting.
