Beat the Christmas Rush February 25th
5 10
Here are my five cards for the February Beat the Christmas Rush at Creative Craft World.
I’ve used some old Snowman paper, my new Memory Box die and some liquid pearls. You can see all the cards made by the design team on the CCW blog – there’s loads of inspiration there for your February cards.
My favourite of the January entries was
by Wendy … I love their clean and simple
style, so very effective.

CCW minikit
The new minikit is launched today at Creative Craft World. I was lucky enough to be sent a kit by Lou and the papers, blossoms and ribbons this month are LUSH! I have made a get well card, two little Easter baskets and I have plenty enough over to make another card which I’ll post later.
There’s a bit more about the baskets in my previous post. I haven’t put the eggs in yet I won’t be able to resist eating them!
Don’t forget to check out the mini challenge at CCW – there are prizes!

Wednesday again and this last week has seen me very busy trying to have a good sort out of my craft room. The first picture I’m showing you today is one of the two work desks I have – this one has been cleared and tidied. It is usually buried under a mountain of paper and I don't think I’ve ever shown it before even though it is where I spend a lot of my day. So here it is all neat and tidy well for me anyway! And here is the desk where I do all my crafting. Not in the tidy zone yet. :o( On my desk you can see the new minikit from Creative Craft World and some little Easter baskets I made from it. I found the baskets on this blog.
Right I must get dinner on then I’ll be back to hop around some workdesks at What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday on Julia’s blog. See you there?

Trimmer puzzle
I’m having a massive clean up and clear out in my craft room. I will show you before and after photos if I ever finish! Anyway I found these and can’t identify which trimmer they might have come from. Can anyone tell me and would anyone like them – just for cost of postage?

The View Challenge - February
Continuing with Jen’s challenge to take a photo of the same view each month and record the changes, here is my kitchen window view at the beginning of February.I so love the flowers that herald the coming of spring. Our front garden is full of pretty white snowdrops very precious to us as they came from Michael's dad’s garden and the daffodils are in bud ready to blossom into their yellow loveliness. The ones in the vase are from Tesco of course. I have to show you a second January shot taken the day after I last blogged The View Challenge …… we awoke to the muffled sounds that tell you it’s been snowing and found everything beautifully transformed.
Last but not least, we had a visit to the garden from a woodpecker I have seen him before but only very rarely. I was just leaving to meet mum and Marilyn at Ikea when I spotted him – out came the camera and needless to say, I was late for our shopping trip! Jen sent me her lovely page and I made a sketch from it then a layout.

WOYWW 193
I’m late … I’m late … for a very important date. I should have been at Julia’s link up hours ago and if I’m really honest I would have been had I remembered it was Wednesday! In my defence, we are away for a short break in the beautiful New Forest and I have lost track of the days. I guess I didn't want it to be Wednesday because that means we go home tomorrow. :o(
Anyway, here is where I am crafting this week – a hotel room dressing table.
I am getting nicely ahead with the CCW Christmas challenge and the cards in the making are for March 25th. :o) You can join in the challenge any time; my post about Beat the Christmas Rush is here.
I’d best get over to Stamping Ground for What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday – why don’t you hop there, too?

UKS Weekly Challenge Feb wk1
Here‘s my page for the challenge this week at UK Scrappers.
Hannahk challenges us to scrap a person important to us, to journal about them and to use a monogram embellishment. So that's 30 points for my UKS team, the Bijoux Belles. :o)
By the way, I have used next month’s Littlegreen kit.

Sew Là Là
A little update on my new venture into the lovely world of sewing … I recently ordered from Sew Là Là Fabric Shop and I wanted to give them a little plug. I ordered some fabrics from them late Wednesday afternoon – I was emailed almost straight away by Kath, the owner, and again yesterday when my parcel was shipped. The very reasonably priced fabric arrived here, beautifully packaged, this morning. Wonderful service! Thanks Kath. :o)
Now I have no excuse not to get on with my tote bags! :o)

WOYWW 192
Wednesday’s come round so quickly and here you are again to have a nosey at my workdesk.
My regular visitors will know I recently acquired a sewing machine (named Albert as mum’s machine is Victoria lol) and I’ve been trying my hand at some sewing – something I’ve not really tried before. So far I’ve made half a dozen cushion covers and some new kitchen curtains. I’ve also had a go at making a tote bag big enough to take a 12”x12” box comfortably so I can use it for crops. For my first attempt I upcycled the old kitchen curtains! Here you go, my desk in all its glory …
And don’t worry, smiley pot fans, he’s here, behind the bag ..
Right, time for a bit of noseying around some interesting workdesks at Julia’s blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/. See you there?

CCW February Scrap Map
It’s the first Saturday of the month and time for a new Scrap Map from CCW. Check out our scrap map challenge on the Creative Craft World Blog to be in with a chance of winning prizes.
Mum, who is very clever with her Fair Isle knitting, made some lovely Christmas jumpers for the children and Sophia wore hers all through the holiday. I edited the photo of Sophia posing in her jumper to look (hopefully) like a knitting pattern. :o) I’ve used some super felt buttons and flowers from Susibee’s Buttons and the knitting embellishment is from Joyous Cards.
If you arrived here from Lydia’s Blog, Love Lydia, to take part in our prize draw blog hop you are in the right place. Please leave me a comment and hop onto Melissa’s blog, Mel’s Mess. There’s a complete list of hop blogs below; to be entered in the prize draw please visit each one and leave a comment.
Happy hopping.
