Marilyn’s birthday treat

Today my sister and I went to the lovely Petworth House to take part in a Christmas Wreath making workshop – it was excellent. Taught by the aptly named florist Matthew Spriggs we each have a fab wreath to hang on the front door. We made the wreaths from scratch, starting with a metal ring and some moss finishing with as much decoration as we wanted. There was so much to choose from, dried lemons and limes, slices of dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, fir cones, some mushroomy things I can’t remember the name of, Christmas baubles, beautiful ribbons ...

Anyway here are a few photos so you can see what we did.

What a great day we had. Thank you it was a fab birthday treat. No shortage of fresh moss and spruce for us to use. The choice of Christmassy decs was brilliant. Coffee and biccys on tap was a yummy bonus as was the lunch. I am beginning to feel like our family birthday season is upon us, which means it must be nearly Christmas!!
Thank you so much, I must have the best sis. in the world. Malxxx
