Today’s project is a clock made from a Stamps Away Deluxe Clock Kit (available here from CCW). Everything comes in the kit, battery, clock working parts and 3 different shaped face plates for you to choose from. All you have to do is decorate. I chose a photograph taken on Sophia’s first day at school and wanted to make the clock look like a blackboard. I put the clock together first to check how much clearance there was under the hands and there’s enough room for you to add shallow embellishments such as buttons, chipboard numbers, etc. The clock mechanism is easy to put together even for a numpty like me who cross-threads anything! The diagram in the package is nice and simple to follow.
Here’s my completed project. I’ve used a 50p easel from Ikea to finish the blackboard look, although there is a chipboard stand in the pack.

It's fab Sue, so clever and I love the tie-in with school and Sophia's first day. Well done on not threading it :)
