Beat the Christmas Rush October 25th
Well I warned you that the Christmas card season would be upon us before we can turn round … and here it is! If you joined BtCR in January you now have a tidy stash of cards all ready and waiting while all around you cardmakers are beginning their annual panic. He he!
Another Pinterest find from me this month – how did we manage without its inspiration? I made the snowmen with various cuts on my Cricut – so cute!
Thank you to all those who linked up their fab cards last month. My favourite entry was this gorgeous set by Susibee, so classy!

There were some gorgeous entries for last month’s challenge and I really was spoilt for choice. I’d like to give a special mention to Susi and to Elaine whose pages I absolutely love. My favourite though is this stunning page by Sarah.
Sarah does bling and flowers to perfection – very much her scrapping signature and one I envy.

Beat the Christmas Rush August 25th
Christmas Card Tally 41
Late again! I’ve had it in my head all day that tomorrow was 25th August. Anyway, here are my Christmas cards for this month. I’m rather pleased with these step cards. There are loads on Pinterest and a video on Deb Valder’s blog here. They look much more complicated than they are to make and they fold flat to fit in an envelope.
So what’s BtCR all about? I have been making 5 a month since January and will have at least 50 Christmas cards all ready for the festive season beating to Beat the Christmas Rush. Why not join in our monthly linky? You’ll be glad you did! I’ll publish a new linky each month on the 25th and feature my favourite card from the previous month’s entries …
I keep seeing examples of zentangles on blogs and, as an habitual doodler, think it’s something I’d like to have a go at. I was very excited to see this fab card on the Wear Crafts blog made my DT member, Viv. Just lovely!

Treat Boxes
Today I have been making little treat boxes for the Littlegreen Croppers later this week.
I followed a super tutorial and video by Ginger on her blog Gingersnap Crafts. It is the first time I’ve taken my WRMK envelope punch board out of its box and I am thinking it is going to get a lot of use from now on - these were so quick and easy to make and each one only uses a 6”x6” piece of patterned paper or cardstock, glue and a length of ribbon.

Pop up box card
During this last week it was our 33rd wedding anniversary and I made this pop up box card for Michael.
There are loads of ideas for pop up box cards on Pinterest and the lovely susibee gave us a tutorial at a retreat we were on earlier in the year. I brushed up my memory by following some clear instructions by Split Coast Stampers which you can find here.
