This week’s challenge at UKS, set by The Ruby Snippers, was to scrap a celebration, to use the colour black and to feature something that you got for free. My page ticks all of those boxes. The photograph is of a wedding in the Macey family and the journalling reads,
‘An unidentified ancestor of mum’s from the Macey family. Photo sent from Canada.’
My grandmother’s sister, Rose, emigrated to Canada and this photograph was sent to my nephew, Barney, who is tracing his family tree. No-one is sure who she is. From her style of her dress I would guess the wedding took place around the 1920s. She does bear some resemblance to my Nan, photographed here holding me.
The frame I have used for the photo was made from the card an M&S gift card came in – thank you, Jan. :o)

yes what a good mystery to be working on, don't forget to tell us if you discover her story.
