Christmas Card Tally 12

Still playing catch up after my slow start in January here are my 6 cards for March. I have used the Stampin’ Up bow punch – my new favourite toy with thanks to my lovely friend Susi who patiently showed me how to use it.

So will you join us in our effort to Beat the Christmas Rush? Just make up to 5 Christmas cards a month and link us to your blog post. It doesn’t matter if you miss a month or haven’t even started yet; dip in and it as you like. Each month I will feature my favourite from last month’s links and I couldn’t resist these gorgeous cards by Sarah which she describes as simple and I describe as classy!

Beat the Christmas Rush February 25th–March 24th

Christmas Card Tally 6

2 Feb

Here we go with the second Christmas link up for 2015. Our aim is to make 5 cards per month, and to make up for my shortfall last month blush I have made 6 of these cute cupcakes, based on a Pinterest idea which of course I can’t find now - if you recognise it please leave me a comment so I can make an acknowledgement . If you’d like the template for this quick and easy card, it is here. I have used BoBunny Very Vintage Double Dots 6”x6” patterned papers and the Stampin’ Up ticket stamp and punch.

So, will you join us in Beat the Christmas Rush? If you d you will have a pile of cards all done and dusted come November.   Just think, no last minute rush! If you miss a month, or only manage one card like me last month! that’s just fine. Dip in and out as you choose. Just link us to your blog post, gallery page or photo hosting site. I will choose my favourite to feature in the next month’s BtCR blog post …

2 Feb Sarah
... and my favourite choice from January’s linky was this one by Sarah. I love the stamping and embossing – on her blog Sarah has given details of everything she has used to make her gorgeous card and her card tally is 9 already!

I really hope you will join us,

Sketch challenge 1st-28th February

sketchwe are family

Welcome to February’s sketch challenge. I seem to have a thing for circles at the moment so you won’t be surprised to see that my sketch features a big one! I will enjoy seeing how you do it – mine is a small circle of card then larger stitched circles, you could use patterned papers or plain cardstock,  you could stitch it or draw it … whatever takes your fancy!
My challenge for you is to use the sketch as  your starting point and see where your creativity takes you. I’ll choose my favourite to win one of my kits you can see them on the page tab at the top.
Karen

Of last month’s super entries I have chosen this page by Karen as my kit winner – I am a great fan of Karen’s work and this one is just lovely!

Beat the Christmas Rush Jan 25th–Feb 24th

2015 Christmas Card Tally 1
1 Jan

Two days late, I know, but welcome to the first  Beat the Christmas Rush for 2015. If the truth be told, I wasn’t going to start BtCR for a fourth year, but as two people have already asked me where it is I have changed my mind!  The card I am sharing with you this month is the one I made for Michael for Christmas using Cricut cut penguins and mistletoe and some punched hearts – simple but perfect for a pair of penguin lovers, as we are.

What’s Beat the Christmas Rush all about? Our aim is to make up to 5 Christmas cards a month so that, by November 25th you will have a nice stock of cards that only need you to write in them – simples! No last minute rush making it a chore instead of an enjoyable crafting activity. If you miss a month, or only manage one card like me this month! that’s just fine. Dip in and out as you choose. Just link us to your blog post, gallery page or photo hosting site. I will choose my favourite to feature in the next month’s BtCR blog post.

1 Jan Karen

Thank you to all those who linked up their fab cards last month. I picked these cuties by Krafty Karen as my favourite.

So, why not join us for our first link in 2015?

December/January Sketch Challenge

First of all, my apologies for the lateness of this post – my printer decided to have a hissy fit yesterday and it has taken my very techy husband all afternoon to get it to work again. Bless him he has fixed it now and I have been able to scan the sketch. So here goes with our last sketch challenge for 2014 …

Boosketch scan

So how many of you will be brave enough to put the circles over your photos? LOL You don’t have to, of course! My challenge to you is to use the sketch as your starting point and go where your imagination and creativity take you. Link me up to your blog, gallery or FB page, via the linky thingy below. Please be sure to link to my challenge in your post or gallery text box. I’ll choose my favourite and send the winner one of my crop kits you can see them on the page tab at the top of my blog.

Janet

My favourite page from last month’s super linkies was this one by loyal joiner-in of my challenges, Janetlinda.
