Sketch Challenge December 1st-31st

all dressed up  image
sketch
So here we are on the countdown to Christmas – and how mean that I can't open my Advent Calendar as it’s a no-choc day for me. Sad smile Ah well I’ll have a feast on Thursday!
Anyway down to business – your challenge for this month, as always, is to use this sketch as your starting point; you can turn it, leave bits out, add bits to it … how you change things is entirely up to you. To enter link up here and mention my blog on your blog, gallery or FB page … and I’ll choose my favourite and send one of my page kits.

Janet
Only three links last month – maybe everyone is busy card making or it was a crummy sketch? Thanks so much to my three loyal followers Janet, Patty and Sarah; they don’t miss a month! I’ll be sending all three a little something for Christmas and Janet wins the kit with this super black and white page – I love the splash of red.
Janet please send me your address and your prize kit will be on its way.

I do hope you’ll find a bit of time to join my challenge and don’t forget if you are a UKS team member you can claim 20 bonus points for Blog Bits.

Stuck?! Sketches

Here’s my page using the Stuck?! sketch for November. I haven’t scrapped in my trademark primary colours in ages – now I remember why I love these colours so much! The photo is of my beautiful great-niece, Sophia, on her eighth birthday earlier this year. How can she be 8 already?!

Sketch Challenge September 1st-30th

sketchicecream

So that was summer eh? Did I miss it? Here we are in September already and time for a new sketch challenge. To join in just use the sketch as your starting point – you don’t have to stick to it rigidly as you can see from my example.

A super number of entries last month thank you and lovely to see some new names, too. The winner of my kit this month is CraftPopsy with this fab page featuring her daughter at Harry Potter World I am very jealous that they have been there! Isn’t that a great title? And the little wooden potion pots are a perfect touch.

Sketch Challenge August 1st–August 31st

sketchpage

Hello and welcome to my August sketch challenge. All you need to do to join in is use the sketch as your starting point and see where your inspiration takes you! Put a link here and I'll visit your blog. My favourite linked page will win a scrapbooking kit.

Last month’s sketch produced such a variety of pages. I chose this beautiful page by Sarah not least because it is so very different from my own page in both in style and colour and yet you can see that we both started with the same sketch.

Beat the Christmas Rush June

Christmas Card tally to date 22

6 June

This month I have made some cards using Cricut cut gingerbread men and I also cut some felt ones using my Big Shot. I’m not sure how clearly you can see the cards, but each has a little recipe card for making gingerbread. If I really get my act together yea right! I will make some edible ones to give with the cards and the felt tree hanger to make a card and little gift in one.

Beat the Christmas Rush has moved to Krafty Karen’s blog. Please do pop over there and have a look and maybe join in the linky, too.

Sketch Challenge June 1st - June 30th

Good morning and welcome to my June sketch challenge. Is anyone else having problems using Live Writer? I cannot get it to link to my blog so this post is having to be composed using Blogger which is not good news. Anyway, on with the challenge ...
This is one of my absolute favourite photos - me with my two beautiful great-nieces, Beth and Sophia.

To join in my challenge just use the sketch as your starting point and see where your inspiration takes you! Put a link here and I'll visit your blog. My favourite linked page will win a scrapbooking kit.

A record 14 lovely linkies last month! It always amazes me the range of interpretations that can be got from one sketch. I just love a page that makes me smile so this month's winner, scrapped by Maria, was an easy choice!

I'm looking forward to another record number of linkies this month.

Happy scrapping!

Beat the Christmas Rush

With everything I have going on now how did I ever have time to go to work? I've reluctantly decided that something must give, so I am going to finish BtCR. Thank you to everyone who has joined in over the years.

The lovely Krafty Karen has kindly agreed to take over Beat the Christmas Rush on her own blog. Please do support her with links to your Christmas cards. Thanks so much Karen.
