WOYWW 212

Here we are, Wednesday again and we are still in Cornwall. We’ve moved this week to a caravan at Perran Sands which would be lovely given some decent weather hmpf.

Anyway I have been busy craftwise; I’ve finished Sophia’s quilt, done some cropping at Scrap Angels and a bit last minute! made my five cards for June’s Beat the Christmas Rush. So here’s my workdesk otherwise known as the caravan dining table25.06.13 and here is the quilt quiltand for good measure the caravan.caravan

Why not pop over to Julias’ blog where you’ll find loads of fabulous workdesks to snoop on?

My card tally = 30! woo hoo!

Thanks to my good friend Susi I have my 5 cards ready for this month’s Beat the Christmas Rush. I had totally lost track of the date and didn’t realise the 25th was here already until Susi emailed me her cards! Whoops.

So … if you’ve been with us every month since January you have up to 30 cards neatly stashed away for Christmas … well done! If you haven’t made a start yet, not to worry, it’s not too late to join us in trying to Beat the Christmas Rush. Our aim is to make up to 5 cards per month.  Please leave me a link to your blog posts (up to 5) and I’ll pop over and leave you a nice comment and maybe choose your card to feature in my July BtCR post.

Here are my June cardsSue 2 … they are simple cards made with triangles covered in Washi tape it’s good to use up a bit of my none-too-small stash!

WOYWW 211

Good morning! We are in Cornwall again and it is such a beautiful day. :o) I don’t have a workdesk to show as my bags are as yet unpacked ready to take to the crop at Scrap Angels this evening.

I will share with you a photograph I took at Trerice yesterday afternoon. The bees were swarming over the purple alliums I think that’s what it is and I spent ages trying to capture one of them with my camera. After my dandelion clock last week and this bumble bee I am thinking I might make a Country File type calendar for 2014.19.06.13While you are here please do take a peek at my new sketch challenge in the previous post. :o)

OK I’m off to Julia’s to have a look at some workdesks … hope to see you there.

WOYWW 210

Good morning – yes I really am up before 6 o’clock. The dawn chorus and a persistent cuckoo are a trifle irritating at 4.45am! I was a little less fed up when I realised it was Wednesday and I could get in an early post for What’s on Your Workdesk … so … on my desk today are the papers and photograph I plan to use for a layout for the UK Scrappers summer challenge We Challenge You. This one is for the Snap 2013 project for which I entered my dandelion clock photo I am just a tad proud of it. :o)

UKS Team Challenge

This month the challenge on UK Scrappers set by the Blue Brads gave us some inspirational quotes on which to base our layouts. I chose this one one for my page and used one of my favourite photos … I love the obvious bond between my sister and her grandson.

WOYWW 209

Yay! After weeks of complaining about the weather it’s glorious this week! We are in Devon again Torquay this time and I have nothing to show workdesk-wise as I’m still working on the hand sewing bit of Sophia’s quilt and you’ve seen enough of that already!

We’ve been doing some of the touristy things in and around Torquay and yesterday we went to the Model Village at Babbacombe which was surprisingly good. I couldn’t help but smile when I spotted evidence of Julia’s family business LOL!

05.06.13 Right … I’m off to join the linky at Julia’s and hop around some workdesks. See you there?
