Beat the Christmas Rush April 25th
Woo hoo 20 cards finished!
Just how smug will I be come November?! LOL
Sorry to mention the C-word LOL but I’m going great guns with my Christmas cards and this month I’ve made some easel cards using a cute digi image I bought from Mo’s Digital Pencil Shop. I also used some of Susibee’s fab Christmas buttons and coloured the images with Promarkers very therapeutic.
I hope you’ll join in with us at Creative Craft World in our attempt to Beat the Christmas Rush. You can start at any time. My favourite entry in our March link up was this card by Three Trees ... I just love the image and the roses and pom pom snowballs, too.

Good morning! Not! I’m writing this in the middle of the night, unable to sleep because of a streaming cold. Yeuch! Hey ho every cloud has a silver lining at least I can get my post done early. :o)
So it’s Wednesday and time to show you my work desk … and yes, the sewing machine’s out again. I’m making cosies for Cricut machines. The one you can see is for a Baby Bug, fingers crossed it fits as mine is the bigger version.
Here’s my machine and a cosy I made for my teamie, Lindsay, who has a bit of an obsession with likes veedub camper vans :)
I’m going to try to get some sleep but I’ll be back to visit lots of workdesks at Julia’s blog, Stamping Ground … come on over, you’ll be glad you did.

CCW April/May mini challenge
The new mini challenge is launched at Creative Craft World and there’s a mini kit up for grabs for the winner!
Here are the two cards I made with my kit – the first is a birthday card for a friend and the second is the card I gave my Uncle John for his 80th birthday last Friday.
I do hope you’ll have a go at the challenge.

Today’s the day!
Today my dear sister was married to the lovely Geoff. It was a super day, the sun shone, the little service was perfect and they both grinned from ear to ear the whole time.
I can now share with you the card I made from Susibee’s instructions here.
I am expecting a pile of photos over the weekend but these are the first few I have, taken on my brother’s phone.
We scrub up OK, don’t we? :o)

WOYWW 202
Good morning! It is good morning because I think we have spring at last. It’s a lovely March day out there I know the calendar says April but we have a lawn full of daffodils and the fruit trees are just in bud! Anyway I must stop being typically British talking about the weather and introduce my workdesk as that’s what you are probably here for. :o)
I have two photos for you – the first is how my desk has been for most of the week, laden with my Ally Pally haul. I bought the 8-drawer set from the MDF man and they will be altered with the gorgeous Graphic45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers peeping from the bottom of the pile.
And the second photo shows my desk as it is this morning with a minibook I have made for my UKS teamie, Janet, and the box of Washi tape and Baker’s twine I have ready to send to the winner of my wee prize for the UKS blog hop. I chose the comment left by Stacey ScrapRed by the way. :o)
OK some desk visiting is called for via Julia’s blog Stamping Ground. Hope to see you there.

UKS Spring Blog Hop
Welcome blog hoppers! I have a sketch and a layout for you. I find scrap lifting easier if I draw a sketch from the page I want to use as my inspiration and store the sketches away for times when I’m short of an idea sorry I can’t remember where I got this one from, if you recognise the page please let me know so that I can attribute my sketch to the original page. I draw my sketches using Word but you can just as easily draw by hand in a notebook.
Assemble a few pieces of scrap card.
He he you really needed a photo for that, didn’t you?
Stick strips of Washi as shown.
Cut with a one-inch circle punch.
Punch two small holes near the centre and edge with ink.
Thread through with baker’s twine and attach to your page with sticky pads.
OK so I didn’t I mention I have a bit of a collection of baker’s twine, too. :o)
To make your Washi bunting…
Cut a length of baker’s twine to the required length of your finished bunting.
And there you have your bunting. :o) Simples!
I have a little Washi tape and baker’s twine for one person who leaves me a comment today.
Please link me up to your blogs if you use my sketch, won’t you? I’d love to see what you do.
If you are taking part in the UKS Spring blog hop you probably arrived here from Beautiful Impressions and, after kindly leaving me a comment, will be visiting Mole’s Creations.
Thanks for hopping by,
Sue x

UKS April Challenge
Here’s my page for the monthly challenge at UK Scrappers. These are two of Leo’s playgroup photos – isn’t he just delicious? The journalling reads…
‘How is it that the smallest things take up the most room in your heart?’
For the challenge we had to look through the gallery of another UKS member and use one of their pages for inspiration. I chose this page by Nabview and, as I like to do, drew a sketch before making my page. Julie’s blog is here by the way.

Gift boxes
A couple of people have asked me about the gift boxes I made for the wedding favours please see my last post. It’s not an original idea of mine but I did alter the measurements so the box fits a sheet of A4. I made a tutorial for the CCW Christmas Countdown last year. I’ve put it back on a page tab at the top of my blog. Do let me see any you make. :o)

WOYWW 201
Good morning and welcome to my workdesk – busy busy busy!
My sister and I spent all day yesterday making boxes for the wedding favours and today I am finishing off the place names and a table plan then I think we are about done. I’ll post a photograph of the favours later when Marilyn sends me one. The jar on the left is a left over from the memory book talk I did last week for mum’s WI if anyone would like the handout just let me know and the butterflies sitting in the other jar are waiting for Stickles to dry. I just noticed the box of googly eyes still there from the crocodiles we made for the children’s favours.
Right, I have a few workdesks to visit over at Julia’s then I must finish decorating butterflies.
Thanks for visiting,
Sue x
ETA Marilyn just emailed the photos :o)
How cute are these? We saw them at the ICHF show last week and bought the template.
Just popped back to show you how the finished table numbers look…

First of all Happy Anniversary, Julia!
Right on to the Wednesday business – I’m late again in joining the linky party at Julia’s blog, and to top that there’s really nothing going on on my workdesk so I’m going to show you what’s on my chair! I’ve been cushion making again this one is for Michael, my husband and Valentine awww! I’ve also, at last, got round to opening my Etsy shop where I’m selling the cushions as ready-to-sew kits. I hope you’ll pop over there and follow me or even better order a kit oh what a shameless plug, sorry!
Still on the cushion theme, I made loads of them earlier in the year for various family birthdays and when Sophia was at her Nan’s at Easter she was asking why everyone had one but her. Well her birthday isn’t until May, that’s why … but how could I not give it to her now? Soft Auntie Sue, I know!
So, I’m off to look at some workdesks, you coming?
