Purple Pumpkin September Challenge

A challenging sketch from Purple Pumpkin this month but I did enjoy September Sketchdoing it. I have used some of their lovely spotty buttons and Echo Park Homemade papers.

A treat to scrap a rare photo of my younger brother. Here he’s at the annual dinner for managers at Villeroy & Boch, where he works.

WOYWW

Wednesday again and, as you can see, I’m still playing with inks.26.09.12

I felt a bit of a fraud last week when you were saying my desk looked tidy. That’s only because I’d posted a cropped shot of the 12 x 12 square I manage to keep clear by sweeping stuff to one side. So I’ll come clean this week and show you a longer shot!

26.09.12 2 Off to visit some more desks from What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Thanks for visiting.

26.09.12 3 ETA Prompted by Sue’s WOYWW post (#51) I thought I’d share my jar of peggies with you. At least something is organised in my craftroom. LOL

For dad

Three years ago today we lost our dear dad. Time has gone by so quickly and it is hurting less but I still think of him every day.

Littlegreen Crop Circle crop kit

Our next crop is on October 13th and, unusually, I have the crop kit all ready to go! Here are the three pages I made for it.

I can’t believe that Sophia has been to school for a year now. Well the truth is, I can’t believe it’s taken me a year to scrap the photo.

I am hoping the title of the third page says Japanese Garden written in kanji characters. Hopefully someone will put me right if it doesn’t

Beth’s first year

Can you believe that Beth’s first birthday is approaching? She is chatting with quite a few recognisable words and is standing on her own, poised to take her first solo toddle. Time flies!

I wanted to make a page to mark the changes in her over this first year so I’ve had a go at making a spinner page. Hmmm it has taken an age and I still have the photos slightly out of place but, all in all, I think it was worth the effort. :o) Behind the top card is a spinning circle with 12 round photos, one for each month. Hope you like it.

Sketchbook-365 challenge

Here’s my page for the September sketch challenge for Scrap-365 magazine. I’ve done some stamping and spraying again! The lovely fabric button with the cute bird is made by Susi at SusiBee's Buttons.

I’ve scrapped some precious photos of little Leo. He is weighing over 9lbs now and has completely recovered from his early arrival.

WOYWW

Good morning! Wednesday again and there’s a real feel of autumn in the air.

I’d hoped to show you a long shot of a lovely tidy workdesk but I’m afraid that was a pipedream ... maybe next week. Anyway as you can see I’ve been trying a bit of origami. These bows aren’t too difficult to make and I will get it right soon! The first one is in the bin, the white one is inside out and the gold on19.09.12e I cut the tails too short! I’ll get there!

Thanks for visiting my workdesk, I’ll be hopping round some more at What’s on your Workdesk? Wednesday. Hope to see you there.

ETA Ta da! I’ve cracked it!3 bows

EATA So many people have asked for the tutorial that I’ll share my source! I originally found the bow on Totally Tutorials but the link was broken. If you Google Origami Bow there are loads of tutorials but I learned to make them from this video on YouTube. :o)

WOYWW

11.09.12Wednesday again already! Last week I was scrapping on a teeny table in a hotel room – now I’m back in my own craft room and, as you can see, I am a very messy crafter. Even though I have a whole room and a six foot work desk, I actually craft in an area big enough to put down a 12x12 piece of card, if I’m lucky! I will tidy up for next week … I will. ;o)
I am working on this month’s challenge at UKS. We are asked to use Work, Rest or Play for our theme. I am scrapping a gorgeous picture of Beth asleep with her bum in the air! I’m rather pleased with myself this week as I’m venturing into spray mist and stamping on my pages.
OK off to see what’s on other people’s work desks.
Thanks for visiting mine.

UKS Weekly Challenge

Yay I’ve done the challenge in good time! Suzycad asked us to use her sketch, Washi tape, chipboard and stitching. I forgot the chipboard so I can only claim 25 points this week.

I was really pleased when I saw the sketch as I knew I had this set of photos of little Leo waiting to be scrapped. He is so cute!

UKS weekly challenge

This week at UK Scrappers we were challenged by Suze to make a page featuring autumnal colours, an autumn themed photograph and to include some leaves. Here is my page …
The pull out tag gives the story behind the beautiful selection of garden vegetables. A few years ago we stayed in a cottage in Norfolk and almost every day, when we returned from our day out, the neighbour left us fresh fruit and vegetables on the doorstep. Delicious!

I’ve used Kaisercraft Tiny Woods papers and I made the little wood gates from coffee stirrers and a brown ink pad. The leaves are from a teeny kit available from Scrap Angels.

CCW Scrap Map Challenge

Sorry to be posting this late! It’s been a hectic few days and we only arrived back from Cornwall yesterday. I thought I’d scheduled a post … but clearly I didn’t. :o(

Anyway enough of my excuses. The new scrap map was launched at CCW this morning. Pop over to the challenge blog to find out how to enter and have a go at winning a super prize.

Here is the scrap map and my page. Can you believe Beth will be a year old in a month!?

WOYWW

04.09.12
Encouraged by regular WOYWW poster, Alipeeps, I’m joining in for the first time today. This is where I’m scrapping this week – we are on holiday in lovely Cornwall and I have a little table in our hotel room. It looks pretty tidy (wait till you see my work desk at home) but there’s a fair amount on the floor! LOL The layout in the foreground is for the monthly kit I do for the Littlegreen Crop.

While you are here please check out my last post to be in with a chance of winning prizes in the CCW Birthday Blog Hop.

CCW Birthday Blog Hop ... INDIGO

Suddenly before my eyes
hues of indigo arise
with them how my spirit sighs
paint the sky with stars
                                                                                              (Enya)

Now this has nothing to do with my project, you understand, except the 'hues of indigo' bit but it was a nice excuse to play you a beautiful song. :o)

Anyway, my project for our blog hop today is a scrap map using a very dark blue patterned paper. I'm not going to write a long tutorial - hopefully the map and my layout will be enough to get you started.
To take part in our birthday blog hop and be in with a chance of winning what's in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow you need to visit one of our DT blogs each day and leave a comment.
So far you should have hopped from Red  Orange  Yellow  Green  and Blue. If you haven't already done that it's OK to start now. :o) Tomorrow's post will be Violet

Oh and last but not least, I'm offering a bit of surprise blog candy to one of my lovely followers who leaves a comment on this post today.
