The new card challenge is up at Creative Craft World and this time we are challenged to make a card with an autumnal theme. Here’s my page using a super digi image from sponsors The Stamping Boutique.

I had a good time cropping today with Tamsyn and completed my usual quota of two pages. I did also make a card – bonus!
The first page shows some photos I took at Weston-super-Mare of the new pier. It was a beautiful sunset and I was so pleased the pictures show it so well The second features the terrible photos Michael took of me for my new passport. I did laugh when they were rejected by the passport office – my head apparently fills up too much of the photograph. LOL
Crumbs this was a tricky one! Over on UK Scrappers Nerlly set us a challenge to use...
I’ve used a clock, a badge I downloaded from the school website and a Bo Bunny die cut that had a nasty brown edge which I cut off.
Anyway, here’s my page, which I have to say, I’m rather pleased with. I’ll apologise in advance that there will be a fair few pages showing Sophia on her first day at school. It’s a big milestone and I can’t believe it’s here already!
What a brilliant weekend Jan, Jackie and I had in Eastbourne! The first Cardinal Colours Seaside retreat was so good last year we were really looking forward to the second one – and we weren’t disappointed. :o) The cost of the retreat (£299) included a choice of four super classes and as many ‘make & takes’ as we could fit in! The page on the right is the LO I did for a sketch challenge, which I was lucky enough to win, and below are all the class projects I did.
My first class on Saturday morning was lead by Sarah-Jane, of Little Musings. I’m a great fan of S-J’s, by the way. The kit for this class, called White Space, included Glitz Designs Afternoon Muse papers. I love all the layering and I’ve learned not to shake a bottle of Chalkboard Mist!
My absolute favourite class of the weekend was the one called Paper Patchwork, also designed by S-J. The colours of the Glitz Design’s Laced with Grace papers are delicious and the finished page is just gorgeous.
On Sunday I went to Lynn and Linda’s (Scrapology) class, We’re all going on a Summer Holiday. I did expect to be serenaded by Cliff but he didn’t appear LOL. This class was right up my street! Lots of bright colours, cutting out and layering. Super!
I have often said I’m not a card maker – but I am slowly becoming a convert. I am so pleased with the cards I made at Lynn’s session, Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside. Lyn gave a super tutorial on using Promarkers for shading and blending; I’ll be dusting mine off now! I may also be investing in the lovely Faye Whittaker stamps we used.
I’m looking forward to next year, Jill!

This week it is the turn of my team, the Bijoux Belles, to set the challenge over at UK Scrappers. Our challenge is dedicated to our lovely teamie, Jen, and we have asked people to use …
- a beach theme or an advertising slogan for the title
- the colour turquoise or blue
- and two photos

If there’s a six in the date then it’s card challenge launch day at Creative Craft World – they arrive on the 6th, 16th and 26th of each month. Check out the current one which challenges you to use buttons! How could I refuse?
Here’s my card. I used a Robyn’s Fetish digi image (Christmas Twee) as a template to cut out the tree in felt. And all my buttons are stitched on!

We had a lovely day at the Littlegreen Crop today – not that I got a lot of scrapping done! Let’s say I went for quality rather than quantity!
Here’s the first of what I expect will be many layouts featuring Ruby, Anna and Barney’s new puppy. She is 12 weeks old and is a springer/poodle cross; a naughty bundle of cuteness!
PS Next crop date 8/9 October.
PPS In case you are wondering about the page title listen here. The tune’s been in my head ever since I learned her name!
The new scrap map challenge is up at Creative Craft World. Visit the blog to find out the details.
