UKS weekly challenge August week 4

tram

Here is my page for this week’s challenge on UK Scrappers. This challenge was set by The Paper Addicts and they asked us to use something old, something new and circles. I’ve used my new Tim Holtz masks, some old patterned papers and circles a-plenty, so that’s full points for my team (The Bijoux Belles).

We went on the Seaton Tramway during our visit to Ilminster earlier this month. There was a great deal of interest in this pink tram – perfect for scrapbookers!

A day’s scrapping

TEM

Jan and Jackie

I spent yesterday scrapping with my two friends, Jan and Jackie, at The Eternal Maker in Chichester. I did three pages for my travel journal, so it was a productive day for me, Jan made a minibook and a box like the one you can see in front of Jackie in the photo … I’m not at all sure what Jackie did all day! :o) Still, we chatted, ate a great deal of chocolate and generally had a good time.

Playing with photos

View Baby Christmas

This morning my friend Jan reminded me of a website called Dumpr Photo Fun which we’d been told about some time ago. It’s really easy to use and it’s free. As you can see, I’ve been playing with a photo of Sophia, taken for her first Christmas in 2007.

Pride in our City - Bath

Here's the first of a few planned pages about our short break in Bath earlier this month. Mum, Marilyn and I had a great time and filled our days with touristy things including searching out The Lions of Bath. We found 17 of the 100 beautifully painted lions around the city.

A Day at the Races

What a brilliant time we had at Fontwell yesterday! It was Ladies' Day and we went in all our finery. Just watching what some of the ladies were wearing was entertainment in itself! We had a bit of a flutter on each race and actually came out ahead though Marilyn wasn't great at picking her horses. The one time she chose a good one it fell at a fence whilst in the lead! I used to go to the races with my grandad when I was a little girl - he always put a shilling on a grey for me. Had I known that there was a grey running in the fourth race I would definitely have backed it, but I found out too late ... such a shame, it came in 7 lengths in front.
We will definitely go again.

UKS Challenge August Week 3

This week's challenge on UK Scrappers was set by the Scrap Happens team. The theme was celebration and we had to use the colour blue, three of something and bunting. Here's my effort.
I used elements from the All Aboard kit which I bought over at The Make and Create Shop.

UKS Challenge August week 2

Here is my entry for the challenge set by Deelish on UK Scrappers last week. We were asked to think about a place we'd like to visit or go back to, include the title Wish I was here, an image of the location, and journalling about why I want to go there and what I'd bring back. I was really stuck for inspiration for a while then this popped into my head. And of course I'd bring back Edward!

UKS Weekly Challenge August week 1

Wonders will never cease! Not only have I done the UKS challenge two weeks running, but I've finished this week's by Tuesday! :o)
The theme was 'education' and we had to use a primary colour and include ABC or 123. I'm claiming full points for the Bijoux Belles.
The photo shows some of the staff at Littlegreen celebrating after our OUTSTANDING OfStEd inspection in May this year, of which we are very proud.

UKS Weekly Challenge July week 4

Here's my entry for the weekly challenge over at UK Scrappers. We were asked to use scraps, use ribbon, show our journalling and scrap in a size we don't usually do. I've met all the elements in this 24"x12" page showing photos of mum's Blooming Great Tea Party. Thanks for looking. Free Forum Sigs
